Good Endeavour by Ned Tillman – A Maryland Family’s Turbulent History, 1695-2002

November 16, 2023 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Nov 16 / 7 p.m. / $

Discover engaging stories of the past and how our ancestors might have dealt with the moral issues of their time. Join Ned Tillman, author of the new book Good Endeavour and former president of the Howard County Conservancy board, to learn about documenting the past for future generations. Tillman grew up at Good Endeavour Farm in Joppa, MD, a property similar to Mt Pleasant.

Age-appropriate for teenagers and older. This event should provide provocative ideas for follow-up discussions. Our past is full of vigilante injustice, inequality and the use and misuse of the land – not much different from today. Tillman will read a few selections from the book. Attendees are encouraged to read the book ahead of time and bring their copies to be autographed. To learn more about Tillman, visit the book tab on his website. Books on sale at the event.

Advance registration required // $5 per person or $12 for a group of three

*GIVEAWAY!* By registering for this program, you will be entered into a raffle to win Ned Tillman’s NEW book, Good Endeavour, which will be part of the discussion at his talk. One entry per person. We have two books to give away thanks to the author and winning tickets will be picked at the event.
