Moth Book Reading & Craft

Kick off Moth Week 2023 (July 22 – July30) with a story time lead by Madeline Potter, Agent Associate for Horticulture and Master Gardener Coordinator. Enjoy a story titled “Moth & Butterfly: Ta Da!” by Dev Petty about how metamorphosis brings astonishing and exciting changes to a pair of caterpillar friends, who take pride in being the same—and different, followed by a moth-themed craft. Learn all about these unique and important insects during this University of Maryland Extension led activity at the Howard County Conservancy.

  • The program will take place in the Gudelsky Environmental Education Center
  • Dress for the weather and bring your reusable water bottle
  • Book is recommended for ages 8 years and under
