At last month’s Watershed Report Card summit, Atholton students and Youth Climate Institute ambassadors Candace and James talked about the hope offered by YCI, which is spreading nationwide. Meg Boyd, Conservancy executive director, announced that YCI added chapters in Alabama, West Virginia and a hub (which supports many chapters) in Cleveland, Ohio. “The number of chapters has grown by 350% in the last three years,” Boyd told the crowd of more than 250 students, elected officials and dignitaries. “State lines can’t stop us.”
