Need a place to bring your children when schools are closed?
Bring them to The Howard County Conservancy for our School’s Out Nature Program! These educational programs are held most Wednesdays and on select days when Howard County Public Schools are closed to students. Programs will include academics, educational games, activities, and crafts emphasizing all the wonders of the natural world. Children will discover and explore the variety of natural habitats as life flourishes all around them. Time for homework will be built into the daily schedules with assistance from our educators.
TWO LOCATIONS AVAILABLE! Sign up for School’s Out at The Howard County Conservancy at Mt. Pleasant in Woodstock, Maryland or The Howard County Conservancy at Belmont Manor and Historical Park in Elkridge, Maryland.

Registration Policies and details:
Children ages 6—10 welcome. You must register in advance and pay in full to reserve your child’s spot. A limited number of students will be permitted each session, so sign your child up today! Fall sessions are available on our Summer Camp and Children’s Program registration site.
Full day Programs: 9:00 am – 3:30 pm….$70/child.
NO EXTENDED CARE OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME

*A minimum registration of 7 students per session is required. The Conservancy reserves the right to cancel a session if registration does not meet the minimum.
Refund policy: In accepting your online registration, the Camp reserves a place for your child and hires staff according to registrations and deposits paid. Therefore, refunds are processed according to the schedule below, less a $10 refund fee for each transaction.
- A full refund minus refund fees is permitted up to 10 days prior to the start of the session.
*No refunds after 10 days prior to the start of camp session unless the camper suffers medical emergency, attested to by a physician, which keeps the child from attending. Refunds are not given for absence, sick days or if a camper is dismissed due to behavioral problems.
