After our flood on Christmas Eve, damage to our nature center was extensive. Initial estimates gauge repairs will cost more than $400,000, plus the loss of income from cancelled programs and events. Insurance will cover much of the construction, and donations are helping us return to serving the community as soon as possible.
Repairs have begun and are expected to last through May.
This spring, we will be open for scheduled programs and events utilizing our outdoor classrooms and a temporary tent. Spot a pots are also available in the parking lot. Our trails and grounds remain open from dawn to dusk daily. It is a beautiful time of year to explore the trails and look for signs of spring.
Thank you to our amazing community for your continued support, donations and kindness during this flood recovery.
