With over 800 bee species in eastern North America, how does one learn to identify one bee from all these possibilities? Heather will highlight common bee groups and genera, and provide some identification tips and techniques so you can start to hone your bee identification skills. It's summertime -- the butterflies are flying! Join a naturalists with the Howard County Bird Club for a walk around our gardens to learn how to identify some common beautiful butterflies. In the spirit of “Build It and They Will Come,” bring your children and join other families to build beautiful dwellings for the fairies in the woodland and stream edges at Belmont with Conservancy naturalists. Online registration ends 24 hours prior to the event. If a program is canceled by the Conservancy, participants will be notified and offered a refund. All other program fees are non-refundable and support educational programs at the Conservancy. Organized groups may not be able to be accommodated at our free programs. Please contact the Conservancy about scheduling a separate program for your group.
