The habitat group completes projects such as removing invasive plants, replanting and maintaining planting areas with native species, stream bank restoration, erosion control, trail maintenance, and more. Participants must be 14 years or older. Gloves and tools provided. Close-toed shoes, long pants, long sleeves and masks are required as well as social distancing. Advanced registration is required. Nature play: engage your little naturalists at home

Join our Nature Preschool Director, Jess Caylor, as she introduces “emergent learning through nature play!” We will discuss specific materials that can be packed into a “discovery backpack” along with ways of inspiring children to utilize these tools outside. Learn how emergent, child-led nature play successfully meets the developmental domains for young children. Online registration ends 24 hours prior to the event. If a program is canceled by the Conservancy, participants will be notified and offered a refund. All other program fees are non-refundable and support educational programs at the Conservancy. Organized groups may not be able to be accommodated at our free programs.
