Saving Howard County – Past, Present and Future

February 7, 2019 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Free

Howard County is a very special place! Ned Tillman will talk about some of the major efforts in the past that were used to preserve wonderful features of Howard County. He will also address some of the big challenges we face today to preserve and restore what is left. Come learn about our rivers and farms, our wildlife, old Ellicott City, and some of the key people in the past!

Ned is an award-winning author who has published 3 books about our environment. He has served as the chair of the Howard County Conservancy, the HC General Plan Task Force, and the HC Sustainability board. He has also served on the Middle Patuxent Environmental Foundation, the Horizon Foundation, the Izaak Walton Conservation League of America, and the Maryland Academy of Science. He is a strong advocate for preserving as much as we can of this wonderful place we call home while our species learn how to coexist with the rest of nature.
