Pollinator Fest

Join us to celebrate and meet your favorite pollinators! Learn about bees, butterflies, birds, moths and more at informative stations. Meet members of different local environmental groups and learn about what activities they have to offer. There will be an opportunity to meet live insects and make insect-themed crafts. Enjoy fun, hands-on pollinator-themed activities and games, book giveaways, live music, and more!
Featuring: Howard County Beekeepers, Howard County Bird Club, Howard County Bee City, Howard County Master Gardeners, Howard County Bay-Wise, Xerces Society, Howard EcoWorks, Lauren’s Garden Service Eco-friendly Landscapers & Native Plant Nursery, UMD Insect Zoo, and the Howard County Conservancy Program Committee!

Interested in making your garden more native-friendly? Lauren’s Garden Service Eco-friendly Landscapers & Native Plant Nursery will have native pollinator plugs for sale! Also join Conservancy staff and volunteers on a native plant garden tour that will happen a couple times throughout the event. Throughout the event there will be live music at the Conservancy’s Bob and Janine Grossman amphitheater! This is a continuation of this year’s performance series. Ian Carroll is a musician, one man band, street performer and band leader. You can find him performing most days somewhere in the South Central PA and Baltimore region either solo or in various groups. His music is folk based (fiddle, mandolin, viola & song) with a large repertoire of Celtic, Appalachian, Americana, various world music and originals. Thank you to the Maryland Heritage Areas Authority for supporting our amphitheater series!

Online registration ends 24 hours prior to the event. If a program is canceled by the Conservancy, participants will be notified and offered a refund. All other program fees are non-refundable and support educational programs at the Conservancy. Organized groups may not be able to be accommodated at our free programs. Please contact the Conservancy about scheduling a separate program for your group.
